Basic On-Leash Obedience Program

This program covers a variety of problems such as issues that arise on the walk like pulling, lunging, barking, jumping, marking and reacting to other dogs.

Other things we will cover is a proper on-leash Heel, Auto-Sit, Sit/Stay, Down/Stay, Place, Recall/Come. We will also cover Crate Training and Waiting at Thresholds. We will correct issues such as Counter Surfing, Jumping, Mouthing, or Nipping.

In the initial two hour session I will do an assessment and come up with a comprehensive plan for you and your dog. We will also start hands on, one on one training to round out the end of the first session. At the end of this session you will already see dramatic changes in your dog.

We will then schedule as many sessions as you need to make sure your dog knows all of his/her obedience commands and address any of the above behavioral issues. The average program is about 4 sessions total.

This program is for people who want off-leash control of their dogs. I will introduce you and your dog to unique low-level remote collar training. All commands learned on-leash will be transferred to off-leash. This will create the dog that comes back to you every time you call him, no matter where you are or what distractions you encounter. The initial session is about 1.5 hours. We will then schedule as many sessions as you need to accomplish off leash reliability. The average program is about 3 sessions total.

Is your dog pulling you down the street, dragging you towards trees, reactive to other dogs or people, constantly marking and generally making the walk a frustrating experience?

 

The walk does not have to be that way. You and your dog need to have a pleasurable walk experience. You both need this in order to provide structure and bond with your dog. With the right tools and strategies you can massively improve your walk in as little as two sessions. Pricing includes two sessions, the first training session is 1.5 hours and the second training session is 1 hour.

Puppy Consultation Sessions

This is a special 2 session package (1.5 hours each) where I will cover any questions you may have as well as teaching you techniques of puppy raising. This program will help you prepare and enjoy your experience with that new puppy! This program covers feeding schedules, potty training, crate training and sleep schedules, leash walking, adjustment into your family with current pets, nipping, barking, chewing, jumping, setting boundaries, socialization and exposure, as well as any other issues you may be experiencing. This unique program is perfect for puppies 8 to 16 weeks of age. Until 16 weeks they are not quite ready for formal obedience training. However, puppies are like sponges and absorb an incredible amount of knowledge through guidance and repetition during this time. This program is comprised of consultation, assessment, and hands-on work with you and your puppy. Within the first session you will see your puppy behaving differently and be armed with the tools you need to get them on the right track. Your puppy will make great strides and will be ready for an obedience package when the time comes.

Board and Train Programs

 

Each of our board and train programs include daily structure, rules, socialization, and supervised play. Also included is up to a 30 minute consultation with you and your dog prior to the start of training at drop off, a 2-hour go-home lesson at the end of the program where we will transfer all of the information, techniques, and strategies to you to ensure continued success, and a final 1-hour follow-up lesson. Each dog receives a Herm Sprenger prong training collar.

1-Week Puppy Board and Train Program                                                                                                                $1,195       

 

 

This board and train program is for puppies between 16 weeks and 6 months of age.  Your puppy will be exposed to a lifestyle of structure, routine, socialization, and supervised play.  By living at our place  for a week, your puppy will develop a foundation and the right state-of-mind that will make it easier for you to continue training at your home. Most  clients that complete the Puppy Board & Train come back at around 6 months of age for private lessons or other board and train programs. The price includes a prong training collar.

 

 

In this program your puppy will learn the following skills:

 

• Walk politely On-Leash

• Place Command

• Potty Training

 

• Waiting for Food

 

• Waiting at Thresholds (Doors, Car, Crate, etc.)

This program is for dogs 6 months of age and up with no major  behavioral issues such as fear, anxiety, aggression, etc. Our 2-week board and train program is perfect for owners that may not have time or energy to train and practice on their own through our private lesson programs. It is also great for owners who may be vacationing and also need their dog trained. By staying at our place for 2 weeks, your dog will develop a new foundation and state-of-mind that will make it easier for you to continue training and practice at your home.

 

 

In our 2-week board and train program your dog will learn the following skills and commands:

 

• Walk politely on a loose leash and practice good leash manners (such as not pulling, jumping, reacting to other dogs or distractions, etc)

 

• Heel (walk beside you and practice all leash manners)

 

• Sit/Stay

 

• Down/Stay

 

• Place Command (stay on a cot, bed, or mat, etc.)

 

• Recall/Come (essential for safety)

 

• Crate Training

 

• Treadmill Training on request

 

• Waiting for Food

 

• Waiting at Thresholds (Doors, Car, Crate, etc.)

 

• Out (dropping an item and backing away)
   

• Leave-It (prevents picking up inappropriate items in mouth)
   

   

   

      We will also address any minor behavioral issues such as:

 

 

• Jumping, Nipping, Mouthing
   

• Excessive Barking

 

• Counter-Surfing
   

 

*E-collar (optional) priced between $180 and $260 depending on model needed. Accessories also available at an extra charge such as different collar straps, belt clips, etc.

 

With this option we will transfer all on leash obedience to the E-collar as well as give you the convenience of addressing any behavioral issues in the house with a remote instead of a leash.

• Moderate Separation Anxiety  (Severe May Require Additional Weeks At A Cost Of $995 Per Week)

*****At this time our facility is not set up to take on dogs with any type of severe aggression issues (for example: having caused extensive damage to other animals or humans requiring hospitalization and/or death).
